Say goodbye to the good life

Say hello to the hard life

Here we are, space shuttles and microwaves, and were going to throw it all away to destroy civilization for oil. Good going Capitalists.

What is wrong with the world? Why can't things work so that no one must hunger? Why can't we all have jobs if we all have needs?

The problem is resource distribution and over population (Living beyond our means)

'Peak Oil' is a by-product of our inability to manage these fundamental aspects of our survival as a species. Nature has done a good job at it for quite a while, but our ability to dominate nature goes hand in hand with its destruction and thus, our own.

Peak Oil - A New World Is Dawning

Yes, it's true, since the beginning of the human race, we have always moved forward, advanced, and progressed. There have been highs and lows, but the general trend has always been up in terms of quality of life and civility. What most fail to realize is that this has all taken place at the same pace as our energy discovery and production. When that energy no longer exists, so too will our consumer way of life fail to exist. People will once again, have to work more directly and locally for their means.

I believe small communities sustaining themselves by way of their own means will be the only possible future for the human race. Going to the moon may well end up being mankind's greatest technological accomplishment.

Living for the future... Otherwise we'll have none...

Sustainable living in a low energy world
